Appointed to Haryana Education Services in December 2001 in the subject of English, in a teaching career spanning 18+ years, has served in various government colleges of Haryana. Have a keen interest in poetry and earned M. Phil on the topic “The Artist and the Community: A Study of Seamus Heaney’s Selected Poems” from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Under the Faculty Development Program of UGC, pursued Ph. D. as a Teacher Fellow at Panjab University, Chandigarh on the topic 'Moving Beyond Nature Writing: An Ecocritical Approach to Robert Frost’s Poetry.' From 2008 to 2011, worked as a Co-Investigator in one of the major projects of the UGC with the title ' Contours of American Literary Ecology: A Study of American Literature and Film' Major Concerns: Gender and literature and Ecological concerns in literature. Attended National and International Conferences and presented papers also. A few published articles and chapters in journals and book to credit.
