Dr. Urmi Satyan holds a doctoral degree in the area of Literature in Diaspora. She has presented papers at University of Texas, Southern Illinois University, Chicago, Nanyang University, Singapore and Nepal. Her research interest is in literature in diaspora studies, literature and psychology, Literature and society and Literature and Film. She has more than 15 papers published in journals and editorial books. She has also authored a book under the title 'Indian Diaspora and Identities'.
